The City of Peoria, in conjunction with the Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA), will host a press conference on Wednesday, May 8th at 1 PM in City Council Chambers to promote the state's upcoming "Keep Your Home, Illinois" and “State of Illinois Homebuyer Expo" events. The comprehensive housing event will help current homeowners save their homes from foreclosure and potential homebuyers to buy a home affordably.

The “Keep Your Home, Illinois” will be a FREE, one-stop workshop to connect struggling homeowners with important foreclosure prevention resources.

The Illinois Housing Development Authority (IHDA) will host the comprehensive housing event at the Peoria Civic Center on Saturday, May 18th from 9 AM to 2 PM.

"State of Illinois Homebuyer Expo" Event

The “State of Illinois Homebuyer Expo” will provide information on the Illinois Housing Development Authority’s (IHDA) mortgage and grant programs that make affordable homeownership easy and possible. The Homebuyer Expo is FREE for attendees, however attendees must pre-register at www.ihda.org.

The housing event will be held at the Peoria Civic Center on Saturday, May 18th from 9 AM to 4 PM. Please note that the “Keep Your Home, Illinois” event (the foreclosure prevention workshop) will also be held at the same time and location.
