City of Peoria Welcomes Peoria Housing Authority Chief Executive Officer

CEO Crawford has served in this position since April 2022

October 4, 2022 (Peoria, IL) The city of Peoria hosted a press conference today to welcome Armeca N. Crawford, Chief Executive Officer of the Peoria Housing Authority (PHA).  Ms. Crawford was named to that position in April 2022.  Prior to her arrival in Peoria, she served as the Chief Operating Officer of Real Estate Management at Detroit Housing Commission.  Mayor Ali and Ms. Crawford were joined by PHA Board of Commissioners Chairman Carl Cannon.

CEO Crawford has extensive experience in Real Estate Asset Management, including working with public housing, blended finance housing programs, Low-Income Housing Tax Credits, Neighborhood Stabilization Program Home Funds, and other HUD programs.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

At today’s press conference, Mayor Ali noted, “Providing quality, affordable housing for our residents is one of the most important obligations of a city’s leadership. I welcome Ms. Crawford, a proven housing leader, and our new partner in creating safe and affordable homes for Peoria families.”
