Be informed and prepared; updated winter webpage provides information and resources
This week’s single digit temperatures, negative wind chills and weekend snow forecast serve as a reminder of the need for accurate information and up to date community resources.
Peoria Public Works has a newly revised winter weather planning webpage that provides just that – an abundance of information and resources for those in need of help and answers.
Review the City’s page here: peoriagov.org/public-works/winter/ to see a list of key community contacts, the City’s Snow and Ice Control Plan, a complete list of this season’s 17 snow routes and more.
“Public Works strives to keep citizens informed and always prepare for the unexpected,” said Public Works Deputy Director of Operations, Sie Maroon. “Our team has laid out a complete plan for the 2020-2021 snow season and we’ve made these resources available to the public. We hope residents take these extreme weather conditions seriously and use the information to prepare for the unexpected.”
More news and information is available on the Public Works Department’s Facebook page @peoriapublicworks.
