Traffic signal repairs will take place at the intersection of Knoxville and Nebraska Avenues beginning Tuesday morning, February 23. Electricians with the city of Peoria Public Works Department will replace a traffic signal cabinet that was struck during a hit and run accident over the weekend. No one was injured.
Expect Minor Delays
Area drivers may encounter brief traffic interruptions from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. while the work is underway. Temporary stop signs will be in place to control the intersection.
Work should be completed by the end of the day Tuesday. Residents and visitors are asked to take it slow and use extreme caution when traveling through the work zone.
