The Down Payment Assistance Program is a grant program that offers down payment assistance to homebuyers of up to $5,000 towards a single-family home within a qualified census tract (QCT).
Any one who uses this funding to purchase a home must own and live in the home for at least two years after closing.
Home purchase price must be at or below $125,000
Must have a signed contract for the home
Must be approved for a primary mortgage
Must have a closing company/attorney with a closing date
Cannot owe the City any fines, fees, or taxes

Not sure if your future home is in a Qualified Census Tract (QCT)?
1. Go to the Searchable Qualified Census Tract Map. 2. Type the address in the top left corner. Include "Peoria, Illinois" and the zip code. 3. Click "Color QCT Qualified Tracts". 4. If the address is within the purple boundary, it is within a QCT.
