The Mayor's Advisory Committee for the Disabled consists of nine members. Four members must have some form of disability. The purpose of the Advisory Committee for the Disabled is:
To ensure there are public and private services for maintaining and improving the health and welfare of persons with disabilities
To provide dissemination of information concerning the interests of persons with disabilities
To promote community and individual activities to stimulate and fulfill the interest of persons with disabilities
To develop new ways to utilize the talents and resources of community members with disabilities
The Mayor's Advisory Committee for the Disabled will resume regular meetings to be held virtually beginning in January 2023.
When: Meetings will take place on the second Tuesday of each month at 4:00 PM.
Where: Virtually by zoom.
How to join a meeting: A Zoom link to join the meeting will be posted to the City of Peoria Boards and Commissions page on the city website two days prior to the meeting. MEETINGS WILL REMAIN VIRTUAL UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
