(PEORIA, IL) Sunday March 5. 2023, at approximately 9:06 p.m. Peoria Police responded to the 3000 block of N. Sterling on a report of two males fighting and one of the males shooting the other.
Both parties involved had fled the scene in two separate vehicles prior to police arrival.
During the course of the investigation officers were dispatched to a local hospital in reference to an adult male arriving by private vehicle with a gunshot wound.
Members of the Peoria Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID), Special Investigations Division (SID), Neighborhood Services Unit (NSU) and Patrol Unit responded to the scene an initiated an investigation.
This incident is currently under investigation. There is no suspect information.
