(PEORIA, IL) Thursday, March 9, 2023, at approximately 8:42 p.m. members of the Peoria Police Department’s Special Investigations Division (SID) conducted surveillance on a residence associated with a wanted subject.
During the course of the investigation officers observed the wanted subject, identified as 22-year-old Diondre L. King leaving the residence and get into a vehicle. Officers followed, and observed the
vehicle stop at a business in the 700 block of S. Western Ave. Officers immediately approached King and placed him into custody without incident.
King was transported to the Peoria Police Department for interviewing purposes and subsequently arrested for Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Reckless Discharge of a Firearm, No FOID and a Peoria County Warrant.
King was also arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Unlawful Use of a Weapon and No FOID (23-3271).
King was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
