[ARCHIVED] Department of Public Works to limit access into facility during construction project

Public Works Logo

Beginning on Monday, April 17, there will be limited access to the Department of Public Works Facility due to the reconstruction of the front entrance and parking lot as part of the Public Works Native Plantings Project. The limited access is expected to last until Wednesday, May 17, weather permitting.

To maintain the safety of the public and a safe construction site, the Department of Public Works is requesting appointments be made prior to visiting the Public Works facility. Please contact Public Works at 309-494-8800 to set up an in-person appointment.

Many of our services are available on the Department’s website or can be handled through a phone call.

The Public Works Native Plantings Project will include native prairie plantings, an ADA-accessible front entrance, a public walking path through the native plantings, and a permeable paver parking lot.
