The City of Peoria Department of Public Works will once again be giving away free mulch from 8 am to 1 pm on Saturday, May 13, at the Public Works Facility, 3505 N. Dries Lane.
Mulch is available on a first-come, first-serve basis and is for City of Peoria and Peoria County residents. Staff will be available to assist in loading mulch into trucks or trailers. Participants are encouraged to bring their gloves, shovels, and containers if they want to hand-load their mulch.
There is no limit to how much residents can take. If mulch remains after the giveaway event, community members can come to the Public Works Facility for hand-loading only.
