(PEORIA, IL) Sunday, May 28, 2023, at approximately 1:14 a.m. Peoria Police responded to a local hospital on a report of four adult males who were transported to the ER by private vehicle with gunshot wounds.
When officers arrived, they located all four victims. Three of the victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries and one victim suffered critical injuries. (#23-9512)
Prior to the shooting officers responded to the 1600 block of N. North Street where over one hundred vehicles had gathered in the rear parking lot. When police arrived, everyone began to leave the lot. Most of the vehicles went NB on Knoxville where one vehicle is believed to had been shot at.
While officers were investigating that incident, they learned that two male juveniles were transported to a local hospital by private vehicle with gunshot wounds. Officers learned that this shooting occurred at Grandview Park. (#23-9513) The juvenile victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Members of the Peoria Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID), Special Investigations Division (SID) and Patrol Unit responded to both scenes and initiated an investigation.
Both incidents are under investigation. There is currently no suspect information.
