(PEORIA, IL) Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at approximately 12:46 p.m. Peoria Police responded to the 2400 block of W. Antoinette Street on a Shot Spotter alert of six rounds fired.
When officers arrived, they located an adult male who told officers he was shot at.
The
victim was not injured. Officers later identified a suspect as 44-year-old James Ogle.
When officers arrived at Ogle’s residence, they located several shell casings near the residence. Officers then made contact with Ogle who refused to exit the residence.
Ogle eventually surrendered and was transported to the Peoria Police Department for interview purposes.
Patrol officers and members of the Peoria Police Department’s Special Investigations Division (SID) secured the residence. Members of the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) obtained a search warrant for Ogle’s residence.
During a search of the residence, officers located two firearms.
Ogle was subsequently arrested for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
He was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
