(PEORIA, IL) Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at approximately 11:52 p.m. Peoria Police responded to the 2900 block of N. Idaho on a report of a male shot.
When officers arrived, they located an adult male victim with apparent gunshot wounds to the leg. Officers immediately applied a tourniquet to stop the bleeding.

and PFD arrived and continued to treat the male. He was then transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
During the course of the investigation officers learned that a fight occurred at the above location. During the fight an individual on scene fired shots. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle after the shots were fired.
A short time later, officers with the assistance of a License Plate Reader (LPR) located the suspect vehicle parked behind a residence in the 1200 block of W. Gift.
When officers arrived, they detained the two female juveniles and a 17-year-old male who were involved in the fight. The shooter was not located.
The 17-year-old male was arrested for Obstructing Justice and later transported to JDC. The two females were released.
This incident remains under investigation.
