(PEORIA, IL) Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at approximately 7:50 a.m. Peoria Police were dispatched to the 3400 block of W. Oakcrest on a report of a male armed with a gun.
When officers arrived, they located the adult male identified as 20-year-old Jaylen J. Williams. During a search of the subject, officers located a loaded handgun (“Ghost Gun”) with an extended magazine on his person. Williams was taken into custody without incident.
Williams was subsequently arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Defaced Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Handgun Under 21, Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm without a valid FOID Card.
Williams was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
