Previously Reported:
(PEORIA, IL) Monday, June 26, 2023, at approximately 10:16 p.m. Peoria Police responded to Richwoods and Molleck on a report of a male shot in the leg.
When
officers arrived, they located a male juvenile with an apparent gunshot wound in the 3100 block of Molleck. The juvenile was not responsive and was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The identity of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Peoria County Coroner.
Members of the Peoria Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division (CID), Patrol Unit, and Crime Scene Unit (CSU) responded to the scene and initiated an investigation.
This incident is currently under investigation. There is no suspect information.

UPDATE: 6-27-23
During the course of this investigation, CID detectives identified a suspect involved in this incident as 23-year-old Tramier Pate.
At approximately 1:08 p.m. members of the Peoria Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit (SID) located Pate in the area of Sterling and Richwoods.
Pate was taken into custody without incident.
Pate was then transported to the Peoria Police Department for interviewing purposes and subsequently arrested for First Degree Murder and Attempted Robbery.
Pate was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
