(PEORIA, IL) Friday, June 30, 2023, at approximately 12:47 a.m. Peoria Police were dispatched to the 3400 block of W. Oakcrest Drive on a report of a stabbing.
When officers arrived on the scene, they made contact with both the victim and the suspect. AMT arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers learned that both subjects got into a physical altercation when the suspect, identified as 46-year-old Jamar A. King stabbed the victim.
King was taken into custody without incident and subsequently arrested for Aggravated Battery.
