Raleigh, N.C. and Peoria, Ill. (July 27, 2023) – Advance Auto Parts (NYSE: AAP), a leading automotive aftermarket parts provider, and Peoria Police Department have teamed up to launch a program designed to increase roadway safety for local motorists. The announcement will be made Friday, July 28, at
11 a.m. at Advance’s store on 4809 N. University Street.
Alongside Police Chief Eric Echevarria and Peoria Police officers, Advance’s store team will announce a gift card donation of $1,500 to begin the initiative. Officers may issue a $25 Advance gift card instead of a ticket or citation, encouraging local motorists to repair vehicle headlights, taillights or other minor issues commonly known as non-moving violations.
“Our team is thrilled to partner with Peoria Police to promote safety on our roadways,” said Noe Ozaeta, Advance District Manager. “The timing of this partnership couldn’t be better, with local motorists hitting the road for summer trips while many are also gearing up for back-to-school commutes. We look forward to working alongside Chief Echevarria and his team, serving our local community while playing a role in creating safer roads.”
“It is a tremendous opportunity for the Peoria Police Department to create this new partnership with Advance Auto,” said Chief Echevarria. “This continues to allow the Police Department to continue our balance of engagement and community engagement that’s needed to continue building trust in our community. Thank you, Advance Auto for your partnership and dedication to this great city.”
Motorists receiving a gift card may use the card at Advance’s locations in Peoria, throughout Illinois, or online at
