(PEORIA, IL) Friday, July 28, 2023, at approximately 1:07 p.m. Peoria Police located a reported stolen vehicle in the area of Union Hill and Moss Avenue.
As officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed.
The
stolen vehicle then collided with a pole and became disabled in the 1700 block of N. North. Two occupants, a male and a female juvenile fled on foot and were eventually apprehended by officers.
The female was subsequently arrested for Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle and Resisting Police.
The male, who was the driver was arrested for Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Fleeing and Eluding Police, Resisting Police, and several Traffic Violations.
Both juveniles were transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
