(PEORIA, IL) Saturday, August 5, 2023, at approximately 12:50 a.m. Peoria Police were conducting burglary detail in the 1500 block of W. Parkside Avenue where a recent string of burglaries and vehicle thefts have occurred.
A short time later officers observed four juveniles burglarizing a vehicle on N. Institute. When officers approached the juveniles, they ran away.
After a brief foot chase officers apprehended all four juveniles.
The teens, ages 15, 17, 14, and 17 were transported to the Peoria Police Department for interviewing purposes and subsequently arrested for Vehicle Burglary. (5 counts)
Resisting Police and cited for Curfew Violation.
All four juveniles were transported to the Peoria County Juvenile Detention Center.
