Beginning at 7 am on Friday, August 11, there will be no on-street parking on Fulton Street from SW Jefferson Street to SW Monroe Street; SW Madison Avenue from Fulton Street to Main Street; and SW Monroe Street from Fulton Street to Main Street for pavement marking work.
These parking restrictions will be in effect until 5 pm on Friday, August 11. On-street parking will be available after 5 pm and last through the weekend.
The pavement marking work is part of the project to restore reverse diagonal downtown parking spaces to forward, pull-in diagonal parking. Additional parking and lane restrictions will be forthcoming as the project progresses.
Temporary paint will be in place for approximately two weeks before final permanent striping can be placed.
Fulton Street, SW Madison Avenue, and SW Monroe Street will be open to through traffic during the pavement marking work. Access to City Hall’s parking lot, Twin Towers Parking Deck, and the Marriott Hotels Parking Deck will be maintained.
Drivers should be mindful of workers in the area and watch for “No Parking” signs. Extra caution should be exercised in the area.
