(PEORIA, IL) Thursday, September 7, 2023, at approximately 6:00 a.m. members of the Peoria Police Department’s Special Investigations Division (SID) and SWAT executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1500 block of W. Smith. The residence was under investigation for the suspected sale and distribution of illegal drugs.
During the execution of the warrant, officers detained two adult females identified as 32-year-old
Sidney S. Bell-Young and 36-year-old Yadonyce L. McDonald.
While conducting a search of the residence officers located illegal drugs, drug packaging, drug equipment, and a loaded rifle.
Bell-Young was arrested for Armed Violence, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Firearm without a Valid FOID Card and an active warrant.
McDonald was arrested for Armed Violence, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Firearm without a Valid FOID Card and an active warrant.
Bell-Young and McDonald were transported to the Peoria County Jail.
