(PEORIA, IL) Thursday, September 21, 2023, at approximately 7:17 p.m. Peoria Police were dispatched to the 700 block of E. Lasalle on a Shot Spotter alert of 7 rounds fired. While en route, multiple other Shot Spotter alerts were coming in.
The second Shot Spotter alert of 10 rounds fired came from the 700 block of E. Lasalle. The third Shot Spotter alert indicating 7 rounds fired came from the 700 block of E. Nebraska. The fourth Shot
Spotter alert was for 2 rounds fired in the 700 block of E. Lasalle totaling 26 rounds fired.
When officers arrived, they observed a vehicle fleeing the area at a high rate of speed.
While attempting to pull the vehicle over officers observed a male subject exit the vehicle and flee on foot.
After a brief foot chase the subject identified as 34-year-old Adrin Terrell was apprehended.
During the course of the investigation, police located the vehicle that fled abandoned in the 600 block of E. Kansas.
Officers with the assistance of a K9 conducted a search of the area for more suspects with negative results.
Terrell was arrested for Resisting Police, Unlawful Restraint, and Domestic Battery.
He was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
