(PEORIA, IL) Friday, November 3, 2023, at approximately 11:13 a.m. while conducting an investigation, members of the Peoria Police Department’s Special Investigations Division (SID) observed a group of suspected armed males, two adults, and one juvenile at Martin Luther King Park.
When officers approached the subjects all three males fled on foot.
After a brief foot chase officers apprehended the 17-year-old male and 18-year-old Paris V. Ambrose. The third suspect identified as 35-year-old Cle Cabone Figgers was also apprehended and detained.
During a search of the juvenile’s flight path officers located a discarded handgun with an extended magazine. Officers also located a discarded ghost gun with an extended magazine along the flight path of Ambrose. Illegal drugs were located on Figgers person.
All three subjects were transported to the Peoria Police Department for interviewing purposes.
The juvenile was subsequently arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Possession of a Firearm under 21, Obstructing Police, and an Active Warrant. He was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center.
Ambrose was arrested for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Armed Violence, and Obstructing Police. He was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
Figgers was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and transported to the Peoria County Jail.
