Contractor Business Licenses
License Required for Business Contractors wishing to engage in or enter into contracts for any of the following:
- Paving, surfacing, or resurfacing of parking lots, business lots, off-street loading spaces, and off-street parking facilities
- Building, rebuilding, or repairing sidewalks, driveways, and driveway approaches
- Placing a dumpster or portable storage unit in the public right-of-way
- Connection with any sewer, drain, in any public street, avenue, alley, or other public place to the City of Peoria's sewer
License Renewals:
All Contractor Business Licenses are valid for one (1) calendar year and expire on December 31st. Licenses must be renewed annually.

Required for:
Business Contractors who wish to engage in or enter into contracts for building, rebuilding, or repairing sidewalks, driveways, and driveway approaches.
License Fee:
- $25.00 annually
- License fee cannot be prorated
Bond Required:
All applicants for a Sidewalk/Driveway Contractor License must provide a license and permit bond guaranteed by a corporate surety in the amount of: $10,000.00
Bonds must be renewed annually. Proof of continuance of an issued bond is required upon the renewal of the contractor license.
Required for:
Business contractors wishing to engage in or enter into contracts for Paving, surfacing, or resurfacing of parking lots, business lots, off-street loading spaces, off-street parking facilities, etc

Bonds must be renewed annually. Proof of continuance of an issued bond is required upon the renewal of the contractor license.

Business contractors who wish to engage in or enter into contracts for placing a dumpster(s) or portable storage unit(s) in the public-right-of-way.
License Fee:
- $25.00 annually
- License fee cannot be prorated

All applicants for a Dumpster/Portable Storage Contractor License must provide a license and permit bond guaranteed by a corporate surety in the amount of: $10,000.00
Bonds must be renewed annually. Proof of continuance of an issued bond is required upon the renewal of the contractor license.
Required for:
Business contractors who wish to engage in or enter into contracts for connection with any sewer or drain, in any public street, avenue, alley, or other public place to the City of Peoria's sewer.
License Fee:
- $60.00 annually
- License fee cannot be prorated
Bond Required:
All applicants for a Sewer Connection Contractor License must provide a license and permit bond guaranteed by a corporate surety in the amount of: $10,000.00
Bonds must be renewed annually. Proof of continuance of an issued bond is required upon the renewal of the contractor license.
