Career Influence or Inspiration: Mr. Sommerville has always been more than a basketball player. For inspiration and guidance, he looked to other athletes who gained success after sports. “Kobe Bryant has always inspired me through the game of basketball. His drive to be the best businessman after retirement propelled him to success in the corporate world. After retiring, I had the same approach and have been committed to being the best businessman and leader I can be for myself, my family and the community. Now that I have been in my current role for three years, Inky Johnson (a motivational speaker and former athlete) has greatly inspired me. Many challenges require mental agility and perseverance which he helps put into perspective for everyday life.”
Inspirational Quote: “No matter what you are facing today, no matter what challenges or obstacles are in your life, He will make a way for you even when you don’t see how.”
