JER’ RELL SPRATTLING JR.

Occupation: Jer’Rell Sprattling Jr., a development technician in the City of Peoria’s Planning and Zoning Division, handles the basic steps of applications for building permits and provides residents and contractors with assistance and information related to grants, zoning, code enforcement, and building safety. He also takes minutes for meetings of the Zoning Board of Appeals and Historic Preservation Commission.

 

Community Involvement: Mr. Sprattling volunteered at Salvation Army during junior college. He plans to continue volunteering in areas of child and youth development.  

 

Education: Associates degree, business administration, Illinois Central College; bachelor of arts, public administration, University of Illinois-Springfield

 

Three things he’s passionate about: Helping others reach their potential; serving others to the best of his ability; providing the necessary resources to those who need them most.

 

Three favorite hobbies: Lifting weights, traveling, and spending time with the people who mean the most to him.

 

Career Influence or Inspiration: Mr. Sprattling is inspired by his desire to model what it means to lead others to victory. He wants to become a professional economic and community developer focusing on all areas and, possibly, creating a private foundation to invest in many different communities and people.
