Complete the Contractor in the ROW Permit App (PDF) and provide to City Engineering Staff by fax to 309-494-8855. As stated on the form, a detailed Traffic Control Plan is required to be submitted and approved by the City's Traffic Engineer, Nick Stoffer. Any detour shall be shown on a map or, if you choose not to set up a detour, then a flagger must be located at each end of the closure limits to direct traffic. Once the Traffic Control Plan and permit request is approved, you will be contacted with instructions to validate the Permit. See the chart, above, regarding Permit fees.

Note: Use of the parking lane alone, with no disruption of pedestrian or vehicular traffic, for reasons including but not limited to, the storage of equipment, dumpsters or portable storage units, is subject to a $20 fee for every 30 days.

A meter bag is required if the closure will block a metered parking space. Meter bags are available for rental from Heartland Parking Company (phone: 674-1850), which is located at 128 NE Madison Avenue, downtown Peoria.
