The Planning and Zoning Commission (PZC) approves all land use changes, annexations, new subdivisions, and major planning initiatives. The PZC also reviews and approves changes to the Zoning Code of the City of Peoria.
For example, a business that wants to relocate to a single family home in a residential neighborhood would need to apply for a Special Use Permit from the PZC.
The PZC meets monthly on the 1st Thursday of the month. Applications for a subdivision of property, annexation, special use, or rezoning are due one month before the meeting.
