Neighborhood Associations

Creating a Neighborhood Association

Neighborhood groups that register with the City of Peoria as an official neighborhood association or homeowner’s association (HOA) get access to resources and a limited amount of funding.

New neighborhood groups must have:

  • A name
  • Unique boundaries that do not overlap with existing neighborhood associations or HOAs
  • A president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer
  • Regularly scheduled meetings (monthly, quarterly, annually)
  • Meet at a public location
