Paying Your Parking Ticket

Payment of your ticket within seven (7) days will avoid penalty fees.

Payment Information

How to Pay:

  • Online: peoria.citationportal.com

  • In Person:
    City Treasurer’s Office
    City Hall, Room 100
    419 Fulton Street
    Peoria, IL 61602

  • By Mail (same address as above): 
    Payments must be postmarked by the U.S. Postal Service within 7 days of the ticket date. (Private postal meters are not accepted as proof of mailing date.)

Unpaid Tickets

If your parking ticket remains unpaid:

  • You may be scheduled for a hearing before the Administrative Hearing Officer.

  • With 5 or more unpaid tickets, your vehicle may be booted.

  • With 10 or more unpaid tickets, the City may ask the Secretary of State to suspend your driver’s license.

  • Additional penalties and collection costs will apply, and your balance may be sent to a collection agency.

  • The City will not issue any licenses until all outstanding balances are paid in full.

Parking Meter Holidays

You do not need to pay parking meters on these holidays:

  • New Year’s Day

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day

  • Good Friday

  • Memorial Day

  • Independence Day

  • Labor Day

  • Veterans Day

  • Thanksgiving Day

  • Day After Thanksgiving

  • Christmas Day
