HOME Investment Partnership

The City of Peoria receives HOME Investment Partnership funding each year from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). These funds are used to preserve and create affordable housing.

A portion of the HOME funds must be reserved for Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs). To qualify, organizations must meet the organizational and legal requirements set by HUD. The Grants Management Division reviews applications, and all eligible applications require approval from the City Council.

2024 Application Period

The application includes two parts:

  1. Certification that the organization qualifies as a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO)
  2. A proposal for funding. $445,000 is available for the construction of single-family housing.

An application does not guarantee funding.
