Biography
Liu Yang is a freelance artist, born and raised in China, and is currently living and working in Peoria Illinois.
Liu began to explore camera-less experimental photography in 2017. Her main series of works include Dream, Dream Inception, Another Planet, Music, and Symphony. All of the works were created directly on gelatin silver photographic paper, with objects and light, in darkroom or sunlight. Across all her works, she attends to life, subconscious, and the passage of time.
Liu’s works has been showed in galleries and museums in China and the U.S.. She has been actively participating in community art exhibits and events in Peoria since her family moved here.
